The Short Version
This is the personal website and blog of author F.C. Marrow. Read it, share links to it, quote it with credit. Don’t take my work and pass it off as yours. That’s really most of it.
Ownership of Content
Unless noted otherwise, everything original on this site — the blog posts, the writing, the book descriptions, the branding, the site design, and the novels it presents — is © F.C. Marrow, all rights reserved. The names and marks F.C. Marrow and Marrow-House Publishing identify my work.
My novels are protected works. Author biographies and cover art for other Marrow-House authors appear here with their permission and remain theirs.
The Library also presents works I have planned but not yet finished. The titles, premises, synopses, characters, and worlds of those unfinished and upcoming works, as presented on this site, also belong to F.C. Marrow, and their appearance here is a dated public record of my authorship. Showing them early is not an invitation to use them: they may not be copied, adapted, or developed into other works without my written permission.
Third-Party Works
This blog reviews and discusses films, games, television, books, and music. Titles, character names, stills, promotional images, and cover art from those works appear here solely for commentary, criticism, and review, and belong to their respective owners. No affiliation with or endorsement by those owners is implied — and my opinions about their work are very much my own.
If you own rights to something shown here and want it credited differently or removed, reach out through the contact page and it will be handled promptly.
Content Warning
This site hosts my novels in full, free to read. They are written for adults. Across the books you will find graphic violence, explicit sexual content, body horror, transgressive and disturbing themes, references to suicide and self-harm, and strong language throughout. Not every book contains all of these, but enough of them do that the site as a whole is intended for readers who are 18 or older.
Each book’s page in the Library shows an age rating and a short list of content notes. Those ratings are my own guidance as the author. They do not come from any ratings board or official body, and they are there to help you decide what you are comfortable reading, not to promise that a book is suitable for any particular person.
When you first visit, the site asks you to confirm that you are 18 or older. That confirmation is remembered in your own browser so you are not asked on every page. If you are under 18, please do not enter, and please do not read the books marked 18+. If you are a parent or guardian, what the people in your care read here is your call and your responsibility, not something this site can check.
These are works of fiction. Depicting something is not endorsing it: I write about what frightens me, and nothing in the books is an instruction, a recommendation, or a reflection of how I live. If a subject is likely to hurt you, the content notes are there so you can skip that book.
Dream Casting
Some pages on this site — the story hubs, their character pages, and their galleries in particular — show posters, portraits, and other artwork that picture well-known actors as characters from my books. Every image of that kind on this site is fan-art dream casting, whether or not it carries a caption saying so: my own “if I could cast anyone” picks, made as concept art to show how I imagine the characters. None of it is official casting.
To be plain about what that means: unless I announce otherwise on this site, no film, series, or other screen adaptation of any of my books has been announced, is in development, or is in production. No actor shown or named here has been cast, approached, or attached to any project of mine, and none of them has endorsed, sponsored, or approved my books, this site, or the artwork. Their appearance here says nothing about their involvement, because there is none.
The same goes for the rest of what makes a poster look like a poster. Studio and distributor logos, rating marks, credit blocks, and release-style taglines on dream-cast artwork are part of the design, there to make it read as a movie poster. They do not mean that any studio, distributor, production company, or ratings body is involved with or has reviewed anything of mine.
The names and likenesses of the actors belong to them, and the logos and marks belong to their owners. They appear here only to illustrate a casting wish, never to sell a product or to suggest an endorsement.
I will never use any of these actors, their names, or their likenesses to market or advertise my work. Every one of my books will be free to read in full right here on this site, and every one will be available in physical form as well, but no actor pictured here is part of selling any of them. The dream-cast images exist for one reason only, which is to show you, as accurately as I can, the way I have always pictured these characters.
If one of my stories is ever adapted, I’ll announce it here in plain words, and the real cast may look nothing like my wish list. And if you are one of the people pictured, or you represent them, and you’d like an image taken down, reach out through the contact page and it will be removed promptly.
What You Can Do
You’re welcome to read, link, and share anything on this site, and to quote reasonable excerpts of my posts with attribution and a link back. You may not republish whole posts, scrape the site to reproduce its content elsewhere, use my writing to train a product you sell, or use my name or branding to imply endorsement, without written permission — which you can ask for via the contact page. I’m usually agreeable when people ask first.
Purchases & External Links
Book purchases happen on Amazon or wherever else books are sold — those transactions are governed by the retailer, not by this site. External links (Amazon, YouTube, and others) lead to sites I don’t control, and their content and policies are their own.
The Blog Is Opinion
Posts here are commentary and personal opinion, presented as-is. I aim to be accurate about facts and honest about opinions, but the site comes with no warranties of any kind.
