Colin grew up everywhere, a military kid with a camera in his hands and an eye that made strangers stop and look twice. Somewhere around twenty he put the camera in a closet and took a desk job, one reasonable decision at a time.

Now the job is gone, the apartment is next, and nothing much lights him up anymore. His sister Nora, younger than him and twice as stubborn, is the one who refuses to let him disappear.

The tour is supposed to be a paycheck. He packs for it like a man who has forgotten he was ever good at anything.
